Why Verizon?

Or, perhaps better, why only Verizon? Why not collect meta-data from ATT? Sprint? US Cellular? T-Mobile?

Are Verizon users particularly terrorism-prone? Have all recent terrorists been Verizon users? (Which, if true, puts a whole new spin on “can you hear me now?”, doesn’t it?)

That must have been one interesting FISA warrant request:

Government: “Well, we’d like to collect lots of telephone data, but only from Verizon customers.”

Judge: “As an ATT customer, I have no problem with that.”

Inquiring minds want to know!
