A useful summary graph from Nate Silver at 538.com (now behind the NY Times’ paywall). It tracks the decline in news attention to Sarah Palin, and the parallel rise in attention paid to Donald Trump. Note the brief, pre-Trump, Gingrich blip last month. It looks like Bette Davis’ advice was right, in All About Eve: “Fasten your seat belts. It’s going to be a bumpy night!” And only a little over 17 months to go before the 2012 presidential election!
